I believe it’s only a few weeks until the on-line dealers meeting, just wondering Wtf anyone thinks is about to happen/change for the 2024 lineup. I’m waiting to buy a new XMR RR
What should change on the Mavs anyone dead against anything currently bugging them?

There are a lot of aftermarket tanks that are pretty easy to install without having to fab one up yourself.
Well see this right here is the deal, there aren't any off the shelf aftermarket tanks available for the MavR. When the x3 came out it was YEARS before anybody made one. So you're stuck either making one yourself or figuring out where in the car you're going to put gas cans, which isn't a great option IMO. To me, its simply a matter of the manufacturers understanding what people do with these cars and anticipating the need with a good solution. I can promise you if I had 20 gallons I wouldn't be wanting 25 or 30. What I need is 150 miles of range because that is generally what you need to get from town to town where I ride. Its really no different than understanding that lots of people want to put GPS and VHF radios in these cars, anticipating that fact, and designing the dash in such a way that its easy to accomplish rather than making it more difficult than it needs to be. I mean I personally think that booming stereos are the height of stupidity but I understand also that lots of people love this stuff so why not build a car where you can add these options? Its really not that hard to squeeze a 15 or 20 gallon fuel tank into a car this big if you start out the design by planning for it.

I agree with the radio thing, that was one of my first thoughts when I saw the dash. I’m sure aftermarket will think of something though. It’s not super easy to install a radio on a x3 either, you still need to buy one of a few options in mounting panels or fab one up. They probably didn’t exist either when the x3 first came out.

New models are always a pain at first with aftermarket stuff, also agree there as well. Early adoption of anything new always has challenges. We will just semi agree to disagree on the fuel thing. You want 150 miles, another guy wants 250, most only need 100 at most. For what it’s worth I bet the range on the R is similar to the x3 at 160 miles. Though obviously that depends on terrain and how hard you are driving.

From the pictures and videos I have seen the R has basically the same seat and seat frame and rails as the x3. The existing under seat tanks should fit no problem, at most the brackets may need small modifications. I wouldn’t be surprised If you see R compatible kits pretty quickly.

I think everyone wants to help too much and it is creating problems. I would like to see Tmesic take the lead on decisions for his 20 Question poll.

Now the bashings being blamed for too many duplicate videos, or same information in multiple threads, falls into our hands to cleanup. What do you want us to do? Editing out duplicates of videos and questions? I wouldn't know where to start without pissing off those who posted them as well.

We need a clean thread for Tim's 20 questions now look how mucked up the threads are. Seems like a few of you think 2020RR is to blame...bullshit. I'm appealing to Tim for directive...getting time to have a Poll, or let him wing it with what he has read thus far.

Tim is good, i loaded him with plenty of questions. Now lets see if he has the bawls to axe them.

Been a while since I sold my 2020 X3 max and here I am looking at the latest greatest. Lots of new goodness for a can am. Questions that come to mind.

1. Oh sh!t button
2. Can you mirror phone on dash or apple car play
3. Miles capable per tank hopefully 100-150

can’t wait for a pro xp comparison as I believe the pro r is in a different class at 2000cc in all racing sanctions. On a side note I believe this car will run with the pro r regardless

They are stretching out the releases to get more interest and more exposure. That's why they didn't drop the 4 seater on day one, the public can only consume so much at a time. They will be releasing models approximately every 6 months they said.

Expect a trail adaptation and a mud adaptation coming soon.

Meh, I'm guessing the bushings will last easily 5x as long as the JMXT rod ends that most people have on their aftermarket links and those things are 30 bucks each, so 60 bucks per link. And nothing is going to stop lots of guys from putting aftermarket links on their cars anyway so there will be a plethora of takeoff links available in the classifieds. Same goes for the control arms.

Heim joints are not meant to last forever. Depending on where you take your
Can Am and how vigilant you are about cleaning stuff will determine the life of a heim.

I have not had issues with the FK heims. Those new bushings in Maverick R look like they will last a long time and if the suspension is as advertised the force on the radius rods has been greatly reduced. The radius rods should not bend like the ones on the X3.
