That mileage of testing on the motors is combined out of all the motors they tested hard telling how many preproduction motors that comes down too.

 

What are the wheel bearing like? Are they bolt in?

I still feel that balljoint will be a weak link.

Can't you just see a big rock or limb kick up and stick in that appendage?

 

These AZ trails will fit that big girl. I'm kinda liking it more and more. Wish it had a tiny bit more clearance. And 4 seats. But at 50k nooooo way. I'd probably build an overland rig with AC and very well built 1 tons.

 

Lots of negative reactions (for good reason). I want to drive one before I make my final decision. This is not what I expected. My take is that this is a sand, short course, and desert car only. The A Arms dictate that.

 

That’s probably dead on correct. BRP might release a skinnier / less wide model, similar to that of the X3s. There’s definitely a big enough clientele for dunes / desert.

I like it and I think its going to be an awesome car to own and drive. Is it a little ugly, absafu**inglutely, but the design is pretty badass.
Everyone is worried about a branch or rock getting jammed between the tire and top arm balljoint area. Take a look at the current X3 and look at the side tolerance between the tire and trailing arm, pretty close to the same tolerance on the new car front end. I have never had a problem with a stick/branch or a rock getting jammed in my trailing arm while riding trails in an X3, and the X3 trailing arm area is a more vulnerable area(lower). This will not be an issue on the new car and you're not going to hit the bj arm on something, if you do, the R model is probably not for you.
The only thing that makes me nervous is the 10.5 screen. It looks too nice for offroad, and it looks like it is not covered (built into dash) 100% in the back, I can't imagine powerwashing that thing. Besides that and the same(similar) shi**y seats, I think its a win.

 

A stock Rubicon is 74" wide.

Yeah, and that's all that is on the trails/rocks, stock Jeeps on stock suspension with stock wheels and tires.

Good question. I would venture to say new. Hopefully new spring rates and valving.
