the new 180hp turbo r 900 ace renegade is awesome! I have about 1650 miles on an xrs renegade this winter and have loved it. Skidoochris also runs the 900 turbos and has some worked machines. It will be interesting to see how the 180hp 2 stroke does with the meth injection on it to help eliminate the intercooler.
the only thing im thinking we will see is still the new cluster. the clusters with the orange backlights blow... even the 7.25" one on my xrs sled is crappy at best and could definitely be better from doo. It has the capability. there are so many good setups out there, and they cheap out on the gauges all the time. id just assume have the analog gauges in them and leave it alone instead of paying more for the crappy gauges. the atv release was a bust imo. nothing ear shattering and only really introduced some smaller lower hp units.
they will most likely need the 10.25" gauge if they want to get full functionality of smart shocks, the gps setup from the sleds, and the other features it comes with. the very unfortunate part of the gps stuff, they are so far behind polaris ride command, that it is laughable and a crying shame. it is best for everyone to have it used in more places... it can be cheaper, it can be better utilized as well.
I tend to think they will have to separate from the 900 ace if they want to compete any further in really high hp numbers. 225+ is not just a simple flash and low 20's for boost seems to be the stopping point for stock configuration engines on the stock turbo and 91 octane. Maybe chris has a better idea of what a stock internals ace would hold up to- he will hopefully chime in.
