I believe it’s only a few weeks until the on-line dealers meeting, just wondering Wtf anyone thinks is about to happen/change for the 2024 lineup. I’m waiting to buy a new XMR RR
What should change on the Mavs anyone dead against anything currently bugging them?

Pictures never do anything justice. You would really need to look at it in person and actually do a test drive. If it has an awesome feel of power and an amazing smooth feel through the rough stuff, I believe many would start only thinking about its performance rather than looks. I am sure aftermarket companies will do something to make that upper weird looking alien arm much more attractive especially since most would want to change it. Lucky for me none of its improvements in a whole would ever work for my rock trails, but some of those features as a standalone would be awesome to have.

Yes, those front spindles are weird looking...but if they perform significantly better then the looks will quickly be forgotten/forgiven,
Not too sure about that point when it comes to the masses. I see many more rolling stereos with custom paint/wraps and every bolt on doo-dad, and farkle installed on it, than I see cars set up to be driven hard. Maybe that's just where I ride,,, but I'd say the looks of the car mean more to most than an extra 15% performance. 🤷‍♂️

I need to make a list of the pros and cons and see what people have to say this next year. Another disappointment as it appears they didn't upgrade the seats.

$62K+ is a lot of money for most, nearly doubled in price. I always buy with cash and that's a big chunk not to include aftermarket upgrades. For those financing going from a $400-$600 payment to a $1000-$1300 (or more) is a huge difference. The marketplace demographic will most definitely change over the current X3 RS R for both the design application and $$.

Where are you getting $62K? Is that the top model and every accessory available? I think the pricing is not bad for what you get. The top model is $45K and comes with a ton of features or you can go with the lower model in the $36K range.

Maverick X3 vs. Maverick R front suspension. Take a closer look! wild geometry changes.

Heavy-Duty tall knuckle suspension design:

Design maximizing vehicle stability, improving handling and Center of Gravity. Tall knuckle geometry will help push our suspension performance to the next level reaffirming Can-Am as the leader in terms of Vehicle Dynamic.
Unmatched 77’’ Wide suspension capability
Unrivaled Suspension trave with Front 25 in / Rear 26 in* (Maverick R X rs with Smart-Shox)
Industry Leading Ground Clearance with 17 in (43.2cm)

My personal take on it is the pricing is too high. It does have a lot of cool/great features but I just can't get past the price and the look of it. 40 more hp and DCT is great and all but these are also over 500lbs heavier than the X3. I personally don't mind the CVT though either as the P-drive was a great improvement. I sure hope for the price and extra weight of the R the brakes are much better than the X3's.

As for the price, I think it's steep and flagship units are not for everyone.

I think as they have gotten so much more sophisticated tech wise and the performance is getting pretty decent assuming it handles and rides top notch that maybe new type of buyer may come into play.

Guys who just want to show off and some who maybe would have a high end sand car and maybe others.

I think the fact many can sell their current car and generate some cash to start with will be inclined to spend the money.

Time will tell but I think top notch performance will always sell.

My first thought this morning after thinking about it overnight. I need to drive one and see how it works. However, do you really want to be seen driving one? Cost is not the issue with this machine. It had better be the best machine ever built because I am not sure if I can get over the front a arms.

Next thoughts. What about running bigger tires? What about running through mud? How will any type of coating stay on the a arm? Anyone who fixes the a arms will be a hero. The Pro R looks like a beauty queen compared to this machine. The X3 just looks wrong. I hope I am wrong on this. A wise man once said, If it looks good, it is good. Sorry for the negativity.

I am surprised I didn't see anyone mention this that got upgraded.

It likley takes half that to run all the tech.

Either way 1700 is great.

I never thought I’d see an F150 cost more than $100k or a mid engine mustang for $300k but yet here we are. It’s a weird stupid world we’re living in now.

As long as someone is willing to pay the prices, they will keep going up. It’s supposed to be a recreational toy, but that seems to have gone out the window a few years ago

This is the high end model.

There are still plenty of offerings much more affordable in various models.

If fun only means having the “latest and greatest” and not the enjoyment of the off road or time with family and friends then there will never be any contentment.

I like capitalism.
I like manufacturers seizing opportunities to supply where there is a demand.

I hate with a mad passion companies that conspire with politicians to force me to buy things I don’t want or need. Focus your negativity where it needs to be.

my only complaint on this machine is it seems for single purpose built for you buys out west (dunes/desert). at 77" you legally can't ride one on wisconsin trails. In michigan that really makes some trails tight. I know a friend with a KRX that had to watch some areas where we rode due to his width, one was a bridge crossing where he has CMs of clearance on the outside of wheels crossing. In a couple years hoping to jump into a 2 seater X3 with 64" class because that will still keep me legal to ride in both states

54 mm turbo...LOL I say total BS
when we actually mesure it I say its a 40mm inlet turbo
with a 54mm wheel capable of maybe 350hp

Generally probably true. I bought the top end x3 but it’s plenty for me. I looked at the pro r but it was a lot more money and not sure I needed what it offered. Plus it is a Polaris. 🤣

The new Maverick r looks interesting but it’s a lot more $$ and probably more than I need. It also only has a 2seater which currently is a deal breaker. I won’t say I would never buy one but for right now I don’t think I would. I’ll get my fix watching you guys that are getting them tinker with them. In the mean time I’ll keep enjoying the hell out of my x3.

Anybody see anything on the steering rack? I remember at one time there was a patent on one that used rollers instead of bushings.

Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Seen the outside of it in one of the videos. from the outside it resembles the rack in the patent with the rollers.
