O.....my......goodness!!!! This thing has a fram type flat-panel air filter. It also has a post filter. It's a separate little oiled foam filter that you can put in for Dusty or muddy conditions. More signs of attention to detail! I'll post pics of it when I get a chance.
So did you go on a short ride after work?

Sweet bike..is the x rs worth the money over the base in your opinion? I kinda prefer the looks of the base but the bead locks and gauges are trying to sell me on the x rs.
I drove both models on Sunday and IMO the extra $ for the X-rs is well worth it. For me, its almost worth it just for the bigger shocks. They are 25% bigger dia. and its a noticeable difference when driving. Then you get an easier to read gauge cluster and beadlocks. That makes it a no brainer for me. I think Glamisfan will agree with my reasoning.

Thanks, I'm a hair away of buying one out west and having it shipped to me. I have cash just waiting to be spent lol
It seems like more dealers are receiving their deliveries everyday.
So you just need to call some so cal dealers and you will find one.

I know you will most likely be putting new harness' in your ride correct? If so, and they are anything like the commanders you will probably need to override the stock seat belt receiver so it will get out of limp mode. Let us what wire needs to be jumped.

I have pictures of what I did on my good camera. Hopefully I'll get them up on Saturday or Sunday. There is a wire that goes to the drivers seat belt. I unplugged it from the main harness and used a paper clip to jump it to test it. That solved it and gave me full throttle. I then cut off the plug from the main harness, put the two wires together, and used one side of a butt connector to crimp them together. There's not enough room to use the butt connector the way it's intended without removing the center console. The wires are just too short. I did have to remove both side panels and the panels under the seats to get to the seat belt bolts.
So there is only one wire which goes to the drivers side? Passenger's side not affected?

Correct. The sales guy did say that the seat belt and the net both have to be connected. But I doubt that the net has it also. Still need to drive it to verify.
Hey Schannon thinks your going out to super with them for new years. I told him I thought you were going to Glamis.
He now knows I'm waiting for a Maverick. Looks like I will be going to Super from Wed orThurs til Tuesday.

I'm going to Glamis for a day trip on Friday and Saturday before New Year's. Then I'll be at the Dip at Schannon's camp on probably Sunday, maybe Monday. So your going to leave on Tuesday the 1st, right?
Yeah I am planning on going out Weds or Thursday for sure and hopefully staying until Tuesday AM.
We usually camp fairly close to where wheeler makes a hard right turn, 7 mi marker, another100 yards up the road then left up towards the hill.
Got the call today. Mine should be ready for pick up tomorrow after work.

Yeah I also softened all my shock settings except preload. I'm all the way out so it's the softest it can be without revalving. Soaks up the whoops at 63-65mph no problem. But I'm sure I'll keep playing with it to make it a little better.

My rear shocks are now at 0 high and low speed compression. Still a little too stiff. The rebound is going to wind up somewhere around 10 to 15 clicks.
Hope you had fun riding with us yesterday. Those washes are so much fun. Like a one way race track. We then rode over to the back bowl and Mav torn it up with no problems.

that's not a crack on the frame in the first pic left side by the square tube is welded?
Good catch & worth checking for sure but I'll bet it's just dirt stuck in the edge of the bead.
