Finished up several mods to the Max today. Still waiting for doors, door graphics, off road sound systems roof and stereo, and to install 40" light bar.

Winch and mount will arrive tomorrow.

1. Removed all shocks and greased spherical bearings. ( they were bone dry)

2. Fabbed mount and installed optima yellow top under drivers seat, wired to existing battery.

3. Installed bumpers

4. Installed kolpin windshield

5. Rear view mirror

6. Installed Holz front tie rods. May switch to CT's later but the dealer had them so I grabbed them.

7. Installed rear hitch.

8. Installed front lateral panels(skids)

9. Heat wrapped exhaust

10. Installed STI HD4 14 inch wheels and 28-10 Baja Cross HD tires.

Much still to do but I am moving in the right direction.

Excuse my messy shop! You guys know how it is when your working on stuff!

It is a D51. - basically the size for a Honda Civic. I have ran this in both a commander and maverick and it does well. It's relatively light weight.

what do you mean on the shock greased?
Where your shock mounting bolts attach the shocks at the top and bottom, there is a spacer on each side of the shock. Those are bone dry and need a touch of grease to lubricate.

what tires and rims are those? also what sizes
14 "STI HD4 they are just released. They aren't on their website. I found them by accident, they actually have them in a 17! Tires are Baja Cross 28".

I really like the Baja Cross I live in WV and its very rocky. They do well.

why not 30's? just curious
I thought a lot about 30's, ultimately my decision was based on weight and concern over wear on the drivetrain.

I know these things can handle a 30 but I felt the 28 would meet my current needs.

I've run baja cross in the desert for years. Bulletproof 10 ply but they are heavy!! I think the 28" was a good choice.
Nice ride!

Interested in selling the stock rims and tires?
I'll sell anything. Where do you live? I'm in beckley, wv.

...............nevermind I am back on my computer and see you are in Nebraska. I will be glad to ship them but you will have to spring for the freight.

Storage pieces are on the way for testing. Make sure you ride this weekend to see if heat is going to be an issue.

Still a work in progress but it's getting closer.

Installed Wake Tower speakers tonight, and finished some more small details.

If only I had the doors!
