Hey everyone I have a 21 maverick trail 800 dps. I installed tusk t bites 27x9 all 4. I lost a lot of power because of the weight. I know its only a 51 hp motor. Had anyone used a power commander or dyno jet tuner? I'm on the fence or is there a clutch it avaliable. Haven't seen much for the 800s.

Such a deceiving title. Though you had 800hp in your Trail haha!

I'm not sure what you would get out of a tune. But would guess the difference would be fairly minimal.

Yeah I could see how the title was confusing. I'm not looking for no crazy horse power gain. If that were the case I'd go buy the 172hp x3. I'm just looking to regain what is now lost with the heavier tires.

tune on a NA motor is almost useless
with out big motor mods
if you think 1 or 2 hp is worth the time go for it
you will find that clutching can make a huge improvement
the first place to start is adding pre- tension to the secondary spring
this will keep rpms higher and give faster back/down shifts

Yeah thats all I'm looking for get the 2-3 hp I lost back. I'm just not sure where to start for the type of spring. So would I need to clutch the primary clutch like spring and weights or can a guy just get a new spring helix for the secondary?
