Maverick R going into neutral in Auto mode

So this past weekend in Mexico, my buddies popped out of auto and went into neutral. Occurred during him going high speed up a dune and and also high speed straight away. The dune climb put him in a really bad spot and could have ended with him rolling. I've read some other Maverick owners experiencing the same thing. Of course you had comments saying, "keep it in manual". That's not a solution.....any vehicle you buy that have auto, should stay in auto....not pop into neutral at the most inappropriate times. Someone is going to get hurt if this is a bigger issue. Anyone else experience this shit?

Yes I have experienced popping out of gear with my R in the Dunes and it is scary, called dealership and they have a case number but no answer yet from cam am has been about 2 weeks now as I posted on another hopefully it’s a program update but not sure if not I will be asking for a full refund.

Do you know the case number?
Mine has done it in manual mode which I use 90 percent of the time. It's done it around 4 times and it almost has 900 miles on it. Mine also jumped out just at the crest of the dune and I had to back down quite a ways. I've never had it happen at speed, only when going slow and putting hard force on the drive train.

The dealer in Florence Oregon know's about it though my local dealer here in Washington State does not.

This should never happen in any vehicle. Until someone gets hurt.....nothing with be done.
Well, kinda yes and no. What happens in your X3 or any other CVT when your belt breaks? No drive power. Many ways for a DCT to loose clutch holding power. A solenoid losing power or plugging up, 12 volt power loss Etc. Sometimes you can lose odd or even gears so you will have 1,3,5 or 2,4,6 that's just the nature of a DCT.
Now it should be a rare event, or something needs addressed.

I have a case number for mine now, the dealer updated the software in the transmission and the shifter module? I also added that mine was an early one and doesn't have the added C type channel welded on the front A-arms near the rear pivot point.

I also installed an Super ATV 1/2 inch skid plate today. Looks pretty good.
