So, I got bored at the shop today and whittled out a couple of tie rods from some 6061 1" hex that I had..

Thanks guys. Yeah, they are pretty stout. If I bend these, something REALLY bad happened, and there will definitely more damage than just some bent tie rods. I probably could have used 7/8", but I have 12' of this 1" laying around. I tapped these ones for the stock rod ends, I think I'm going to make another set and tap one end for a 5/8" heim. I'll just use a high misalignment spacer and drill the spindle for a 1/2" bolt.

Looks good. What size are the factory tie rod ends? Are both ends RH threads? I thought I read that somewhere on here but cannot find it again.

They are both right hand thread, and the thread is M14-1.5.
