Low oil pressure on x3 after stator change

As the tittle states, just had my stator replaced as it failed. After quick test drive low oil pressure/check engine light came on. Is there a possibility of an install issue causing it or likely pure coincidence? New sensor is already ordered.

What was the reason for changing the stator?
(may give reason to point the direction to a malfunctioning pressure switch)

Did one of the plastic gears get stripped or possibly get debris down in there that is stuck on the screens?

take it back apart is only option, don’t drive or run it anymore

Its the dealer that swapped it, they pulled the stator again to double check and all looked fine. New sensor is due in this week and at the same time they will phisically check pressure with a gauge.

Just an update in case it helps anyone in the future, spring had fall out of the oil pressure regulator.

Thank you! Your post did help me out. The spring must have fallen out when I took the case off and we got no oil pressure on start up. New spring in and have oil pressure again.
