BRUTAL COURSE!!! I was watching it on IRC and it must have been slow going for most...looked like most timed out. Looking forward to hearing the gruesome details!

Are...... You...... Serious! That's got to be the worst finishing rate of any race anywhere! Although I was there a couple of years ago, and saw first hand what one bottle neck can do.

Watched it all day, they were not very happy back running with the EMC. It caused a lot of trail tampons for both classes. Ill give it a shot next year.

We raced or more like crawled a stock Maverick for nearly 11 hours at koh. The course was so wicked, and at the drivers meeting the promoter said to a tent of 200 teams including emc and utv, his goal was for 1 team to cross the finish line. Absolutely amazing to see what kind of bottle necks and pure vertical sections there were (sections where we were hanging vertical with the winch line). This was our first crawling experience, but amazingly the Maverick got up and over every obstical we faced. We got lost and climbed 2 sections that we were not supposed to, lost 3 hours and then got back on course. We timed out as a result, but we were running well and did not have a single failure. We were impressed with the reliability of the Maverick. Amazingly we are racing the same car at WORCS today with only tire and shock changes! Next year with the experience and not getting lost we are confident to cross the finish in time. Congrats to the 3 finishers. Amazing to see 3 utv finishers in a field of 200 including rock crawlers.

Hey Derek! Watched you guys all day...and saw you steadily moving up through the pack and couldn't understand when the next time I checked, you were way off the course...thought maybe you broke and were just heading back to camp..but I know you guys will lick your wounds, learn your lessons and be back bigger and stronger next year....cudos for getting out there and taking a stab at it.

Thanks! We were off crawling random rock sections. We learned lots and will get the finish next year! The Mav is fully able to finish strong.

The Maverick in stock form was able to out run the xp in the desert. In the rocks the cvs, and axels are so strong. We did not break one item in the worst sections. The power was awesome. We did have a few situations where we needed the locking front diff. That is an xp advantage. Next time we will run with the locking front diff and with the experience we know we will be on the podium!
