the quality form fit and function of teh maverick took polaris by surprise of how it would finally be, sure they knew it was in the works, but was floored to see how good, quality and function it was. the hp and suspension and design, well they had nothing to touch that with. there current line is pretty tapped out, we all know the lack of appeal there cockpits already are, i heard from a sw district rep (actually aover heard them talking at a dealership and said the above). that release is a joke, maybe canam should send polaris a thank you for the extra sales they will have now as a result of that new xp.. there going to be forced to re design, start over, go in a new direction for teh high end sport market.
i really expected MORE from polaris
it is a pretty machine, but has no active hill control or engine braking, 94 hp is a HO, which is a little weak. you have a long long machine for 2 people, 2 seaters are not long. they do not show you the dash or inside cockpit so i must assume it is still plain jane boring not much there. they do not mention the shock size, so it must be 2 inch, not 2.5 or better. i really expected more, again, maybe they have something else soon, but as to this one, where HP was increased, tells me that may be it for now.. this is 22000, which means its 25 grand out the door with no accesories...OUCH!!!! this one may end up as polaris's biggest flop. im all for giving credit where its due, as well as lack of credit when its due. they busted on this one. its really almost funny to see that release. are you kidding polaris??? canam better turn up the factory fires, going to need more mavericks soon
