If I come to a stop in low then shift to high then go it will not complete the shift until it moves a little. This also happens when I am in high and shift to low. It seems you have to give it a little throttle before it will go into the gear you have selected. Normal or should I have it adjusted.

Normal on my Maverick and on my Outlander. It seems like a few more miles on it and it gets better.

They are like this because it doesn't actually go in gear until the secondary or driveshaft, moves a little. This makes them way easier to shift, than the old style.
The old style trannies weren't like that, you hadta do the "Outty Hump" when changing gears, to get them to go in gear.
