I have a 2014 MR with 30" gorilla silverbacks
they work great for florida
in june we are heading to the hatfield/McCoy trails for the rally with the MR
heres the dilemma...
Im looking for a 28" tall tire that's gonna work for me at H/M BUT
when im done with the rally im going to put them on my turbo rzr4
my rzr4 has bighorns on it now and they are heavy and get clogged up easily
I need a crossover tire that I can use in the sugar sand and mud of florida and also use on the MR at H/M
the silverbacks weigh 30 lbs each at 30" tall.
any ideas, random thoughts or pics would help
I would love to run mudlite xtr's but the tallest size is 27"
thanks,mark

We have had the STI Rocktane XD tires on one of our Manager's RZR 4 ZP900 in Moab, in hardpack in Northern Arizona and in the tough deserts. They have been an outstanding tire. They are an 8 ply rated radial with an extra deep rim guard.

Here are a couple of photos of his RZR with 28x10R-14 all the way around.

Here is a link to them on our web site:

Roctanes are a good all around tire. They won't slide like the big horn and they are on the heavier side

I had swamplites 29.5 on a polaris ranger ...unstoppable in the mud, great tire.
How did the swamplites wear on the rocks?

Swamplites suck n the mud they don't clean out very well and the lugs are to close together to get a good bite...at least that's what I thought of them, decent AT tire but there are so many out there that do better

The guys running Swamplites here have to run tubes in them, and beadlock wheels so they can swap the tubes out.

That's strange as my experience with the swamplites was just the opposite.
