I have a habit of doing that because of my diesel , lol so I do it to all my cars sxs's trucks, lol

I've always let the pump cycle, even on my quads. As benzo said diesel owners get accustom to doin that lol...

My Harley, KFX 450, Sea doo's, and diesel truck all are the same. I let them all cycle 1st.

yup thats what i was thinking ...i have read a few post here and they were talking about hard starting thats prob the case.

Normally I would not worry about it, but with a few starters giving up on early models of this high compression motor I think it is a good idea to give the starter 100% of the available cranking power to do its job.

I agree with RTB. But, I have never noticed a difference in starting if before or after the pump cycle.
