First #4. I have a rzr currently. Watching the forums to see if i'm gonna be spending 20 grand on something thats just gonna break or need more money dumped in it after buying. For that much, it should be reliable for at least a few thousand miles.

I don't regret. I'm king of the hill!!! (When I'm running) lol. I don't mind having to go to an aftermarket primary to get reliability. Every time I look at an xp, I cringe at how ugly and cheap they look. I have a better engine, better frame, better interior, larger od axles, better seats, better shocks, better and stronger cage, hmmmmm......anything else?

I talked to the service tech at my dealer and he claimed the mavericks shipped to the east coast already have the brp fix on the clutch bolt. He said when I bring mine in for service that he would run my vin # and make sure it doesn't fall within the units that was recalled just to make sure.

yes a way better engine, ROTAX power! the power is explosive when the skinny pedal is mashed to the floor.

Owner here only problems I've had we're self inflicted, I am very satisfied. I would like brp to man up and get those guys with clutch problems fixed up. There is no reason A stock machine should be spitting clutches out!

I am a Maverick and a Teryx owner. I love the Maverick. My 08 Teryx has been upgraded with just about everything to get it to a useable HP level. The problem with that is that there is always something going wrong with it. At least this Rotax engine comes from the factory with the proper amount of useable HP. After all the money a person needs to spend on other brands to get them to this level the performance, the reliability is reduced. So if this car has a non motor issue that needs to be addressed,so be it. It is still WAY less money than any other brand for the level of performance received. We need to remember, this SxS industry is still relatively new & growing. So these type of growing pains should be considered normal, when you consider the big picture. No regrets for me at this point.

first off, every first year model has potential issues, heck 2,3,4 year models have about the same ( due to long term effects). its the nature of the beast. xp have had and still do have many issues, i mean i could quote people left and right with issues they should not have, but still do. i even posted my own issues in another thread here about polaris ( stuff that was completely unaceptable), look it up. good news is canam is working those issues, and even at that, there is a aftermarket fix. it is always possible to get a 2% production issues with a few machines, polaris, arctic cat, canam, dodge, ford, etc, especially when the first ones roll out. my mom had a ford escort that went south time after time, spent 2 of 12 first months in garage. yet in her life of owning them, that was the only one which did that. that al said i wont even get into form, fit function, looks, suspension, frame, power, comfort, etc. all which beat xp. in teh end, with 1000 machines out, im guessing there is less than 8 with major issues, all being fixed by brp. not bad results on a first run out.

Lol atleast when we get stranded on the trail/Sand we don't have our cell phones out recording a brand new maverick burn to the ground on the first ride.. Well maybe a few commanders burnt, but I haven't heard of a maverick catching on fire... Yet lol

I'm in the #2 category. But I've only got 3 hours on it so far. Sure problems are going to happen, but its the first model year of a machine that is designed to push the limits in every category (engine/suspension). Hopefully everyone knew that going in, and that's why I bought the 4 year warranty.

I'm #4 till April. Dealer has a base and an Xrs now. But, with several feet of snow on the ground it does make sense to pick one up now and let it sit. Had a CRF450R (sold last fall) and ran it on our practice track. Hope to get the track redone for running the Maverick on it. Should be a blast!
