Getting ready to install P/S & looking to purchase some beefy tie rods but fear the rack will be the next weak link. I'm thinking maybe to keep the factory tie rods, cheaper & easier to replace versus a steering rack. I will be running 30" tires, QE front diff & playing on the rocks this summer, curious on everyones experience with the durabilty of the factory rack w/heavy duty tie rods & p/s so far.

I'd like to know too, I've looked & tierods are $150+ you can get rackzilla for $400. the extra $250 seems smarter to me, if the racks are messing up already.

I run my tie rods, 30" tires and PS on my race rig. The first race in the Maverick I broke the rack but my vehicle gets abused more than others.

I run 34" tires, PS, QE and a 3" lift. Factory steering rack with HD tie rods was starting to show some play with 300 miles. Installed rackzilla last night.
