maybe the moderators can make this a sticky????
I have 2 mav owners that have "designated" me to start this thread.
counting myself makes 3 mavericks so far
it would involve a maverick rally in west Virginia in June.
the dates are as follows JUNE 11th-15th
here is where we will stay

Ashland Resort, West Virginia: Campground, Cottages, Cabins, and ATV Rentals

they have cabins as well as 50 amp and 30 amp service for rv's,toyhaulers and trailers.
lots of space is currently available according to the owners.
this location would give us access to 3 trail systems within the system.

disclaimer:
THIS RALLY IS AN INFORMAL GATHERING.
ALL RIDERS RIDE AT THEIR OWN RISK.
THIS RALLY IS IN NO WAY ASSOCIATED WITH THIS WEBSITE.

no need to pm me...just post your thoughts or questions in this thread and lets see where the road leads.
thanks,mark

steve,
when you get a chance could you possibly do a short write-up of the campground with maybe some pics thrown in to give us all an idea of what to expect?
we would greatly appreciate it.
ive been to H/M 4 times but never stayed at Ashland Resort.

I have stayed at Ashland Resort on three separate occasions. Absolutely beautiful.3 trail heads, Indian Ridge, Pinnacle Creek and Pocahontas all from the same campground. June is amazing weather. You can ride your ATV/UTV right into town, I think Bradford West Virginia. Gas is readily available to purchase at Ashland Resort and I town. There is an old coal company store turned into a restaurant.

Hey Guys, Go to there Web site, all kinds of pictures. In my opinion the neatest and most fun place that I've been. And most of the log cabins that I've seen looks brand new. If there is enough of us, they will give a group rate, but it has to be done by one person, that would be tricky especially if someone no-showed. The only draw back, it can get dusty up there if it doesn't rain. But that is usually the case on the East coast trail riding. This site all so has a live web cam. (Ashland Resort- WV) Check it out.

heres a GREAT IDEA!
maybe some of our great sponsors would like to donate prizes?
or giveaways?
or banners to hang up?
or popup tents with their logo?
or show up with a trailer full of goddies on sale for the rally attendees?
or hand out discount tickets
or gift certificates
or ball caps
or stickers
or t shirts
or flags

we will be using 6/11 as a travel day
12th/13th/14th as ride days
then using 6/15 as a return travel day
I've already been told by 2 people that they are staying an extra day.

once again this is all informal and friendly...your schedule may vary but hopefully we can all find some common ground
don't forget your spouses and kids and pets.

This is an hours ride from my house. Fantastic place. As in SxS ride. Riding WV is the greatest place by far on the east cost. There is even a bar that serves beer and burgers on the trails. Riders Paradise is the name of it. Ashland is the best place to stay.

Im probably in but that's my anniversary weekend so I'll have to make sure my wife is in.

Supplies -

Tire plugs
Air pump
Spare tire and wheel (u can leave at the truck but just don't want to ruin ur weekend if u get a bad flat)
No one needs to show up without upgraded tie rods front and rear.

Other than that just come to ride.
