Gear Box Repair Help!!

1005 Views 5 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  madubt
My X3 was skipping a bit when putting it into high until eventually i let my buddy drive it and didnt tell him to let it engage before pinning it and he broke the shift fork into high. I got the shift fork but when looking at its shifting sleeve and the gear it engages to, i found it to also need to be replaced. Looking on their oem parts break down they only list the main shaft with everything on it and im having a hard time finding just the shifting sleeve and gear on its on anywhere. Anyone know where i could find these? If you look at the pic below the shift fork is 19 and 2 is the whole main shaft. I want the shifting sleeve that 19 slides into and the gear to the right of the shifting sleeve.

There is at least one company that specializes in rebuilding the gearboxes.
Find them and ask if they can sell you those parts.
