There is a You Tube video on exactly how to do this. The settings are the same for the Max baseline. In order for you to properly set the heights and crossovers you need to take ALL the weight off of the suspension and push down on the shock to unload it. After any adjustments it's necessary to settle out the car by moving it forward and backward to get the suspension to settle properly. 15 inches is easy to attain for clearance. Watch the video and all will be explained.

 

I found that in fox site, so there's a difference between the Max and the 2 seater.

this is what i set my shock at but i didnt know if these settings where the same for both the 64" and the 72" models

 

Is there a point where there is just to much preload? I'm at 16" ground clearance on 32'' tires but I'm so cranked down on the spring that it seems crazy. I'm at 9 1/2" from top of lock ring to the top in the rear and 3 3/4" in the front

 

Not sure how Fox is measuring ground clearance but 15.5” on a base 64” model on 28” Bighrons is too much IMO. 14-14.5 seems more reasonable on that model.

 

I need every bit of 15.5" of GC on my Max. Our Forest service puts water bars across the trails to maintain erosion control in the mountains my first time out at X3 OE settings I constantly drug the belly. Honestly at 15.5" many of those spots I probably still would hit. After installing 32s I am sitting right at 17" and feel like I am at a good height, but I suppose it is where you ride that may determine height.

 

whats you measurements on your shocks springs and crossovers? front and back?

 

i set my cross overs at the fox settings

 

those notes above are for the 2-seat, anybody have the 4-seat specs?

 

front crossover 4-1/2
rear cross over 2-1/4

 

But maybe add a little more preload retaining the crossover spacing. This setup will put you to 15” ride height about.
