Are the fox recommendations for the max the same for the 64" and the 72". i have the 64" and 15-1/2" is quite a bit of preload. i have the qs3 shocks there isnt a tender spring and i had to take the rear shocks off to get 14-1/2" of ride hieght, because it was almost impossible to get the preload nut to turn while the shocks were installed

also the angle on the axle is pretty extreme

There is a You Tube video on exactly how to do this. The settings are the same for the Max baseline. In order for you to properly set the heights and crossovers you need to take ALL the weight off of the suspension and push down on the shock to unload it. After any adjustments it's necessary to settle out the car by moving it forward and backward to get the suspension to settle properly. 15 inches is easy to attain for clearance. Watch the video and all will be explained.

I need every bit of 15.5" of GC on my Max. Our Forest service puts water bars across the trails to maintain erosion control in the mountains my first time out at X3 OE settings I constantly drug the belly. Honestly at 15.5" many of those spots I probably still would hit. After installing 32s I am sitting right at 17" and feel like I am at a good height, but I suppose it is where you ride that may determine height.
