Fan Overrride Switch

Anybody using the fan override switch that is sold by articbomb on Ebay? I am wondering what the differences are between the UTV Inc backlit version vs articbomb. UTV Inc runs $45 while articbomb runs $105. All I can see is that the Ebay version has an extra accessory plug.

Would be nice to hear from members that use them.

I got one and like it. Not familiar with UTV Incs. I bought the one that came out first.
I've used the UTV inc one on a commander and it worked great. It was very easy to install and for the price you can't beat it. I plan on getting one for my maverick.
Glamisfan has the articbomb one installed on his maverick. I have the UTV inc one but not installed yet.
Does both of them operate the fan the same way?And what I mean is do they do the same thing-turn the fan on when you want to but does not stop the fan from coming on automatically.

Yes that is whole idea. It doesn't change the way the factory set up works. It just gives you the control instead of the sensor.
I do notice that the articbomb version has automotive weatherproof style of connectors. Other than that and the extra power accessories plug, I don't see any other significant differences.
The artic bomb one has a three position switch. Fan on, factory normal setting, and fan off. Does the utv inc one do the same?

It allows you to manually control the fan at your desire, while still allowing the fan to run on the factory presets as well. Many people think the temps get to high before the computer tells the fan to turn on.

Could you do me a huge favor and take a pic of the back of the switch, relay and the labels on the end of the wires. Mine keeps popping fuses and I suck at wiring. so I would like something to compare it with.
Thanks

Sorry we were out of stock on them for a while. Sorry if you feel we gave you the run around. We do send out emails as soon as the order is unable to ship stating the product is out of stock. I am sorry we did not have the item in stock at the time of your purchase sir.
UtvInc's switch appears to be only 2-way switch, Always On/Normal... For someone who may end up in a mud/Water hole, we need 3-way. Always On/Normal/Always Off. Which is what arcticbombs switch is said to do. Those would be the major differences to me.

I have the UTV, it is simple to install except for the label guy who calls the wire accessory 12v? Who does that? It's either Switched 12v or 12v+, makin things confusing. I don't know if I would want a switch that would turn the fan off. Knowing me, I'd forget to turn it on and overheat. It is nice to control the fan in crawling situations and the factory control in others, go with UTV
