The first trip to the dunes was a success...I saw 34 lbs of boost via the code shooter.....The car runs VERY hard...VERY IMPRESSIVE! I love it!!!
Are you able to use the code shooter to display live data while driving? Do you leave the code shooter in the diagnostic port and its just fine to keep riding with it in?

Passing through late summer, which area(s) would you suggest for 2 days in the area?

Winchester Bay one day and next day Coos Bay. They are only a 15 minute drive down the road from each other. Coos Bay is by far my favorite.

Can't go wrong with any of them....if you want to ride on the beach you want to go to horsfalls in coos bay.

Lived in Florence for 60 years, been all over those dunes, but Coos Bay is our favorite, love the hidden dunes. Very few people know about them,
Winchester Bay is our least favorite, to small.

Yes, there are some places that are amazing .
Man you can get lost back in there though, I make sure to have a full tank before we set off to explore.
You have to be careful not to follow some of those ATV trails, they can peter out, or get you caught up in sinking tree wells, or off a steep bank real quick!

Used to stay a lot a Mytrlewood and mostly ride south down to boxcar. Lately we've been staying at Riley and riding that area up to Spinreel, there are some beautiful dunes. And intersting areas on the west side towards the beach. Still trying to know how to keep my bearings in that area.

If you can find a open spot at Riley it's beautiful there nestled in the woods but usually booked up way ahead.
Horesfall or Spinreel isn't too bad. Myrtlewood is in a big parking lot surrounding the old factory/store, but has great access to north and south and down the center to the beach. It's also pretty easy to get a spot too.

Riley or Spinreel are our favorites, never liked the whoop road from Myrtlewood or Horsfall to get to the beach. Too many stupid people trying to race. Have seen way to many close calls with families, with little ones.

Yeah that road gets pretty crazy alright....... Inconsiderate and a lot of rookies that drive right down the middle or stop in the middle. Most have no clue how to give proper hand signals, they just wave. It's a dangerous shit show for sure at times!

I am curious how my new suspension will handle those whoops.....

I've witnessed a couple small accidents, mostly from people taking up all the room and not staying over to their side, surpised we haven't seen more.

Can't say my foot is always light on that road , one place I do like to open up is that long wide open spot where it's alwasy wet on the north side of the turn, but you have a lot of area to see and time to slow and get out of the way.

If there's a lot of people, and especially coming up on blind turns, we always back way off because you know there will be some idiot that has no clue. Maybe racing all my life has helped a bit, you have to know when and when not for sure.

I will say once you reach either end, your done for a awhile as it can beat the hell out of you. Shahla loves the beach so we're on one of those access roads quite a bit
Definitely Riley or Spinreel are the better ones.

We like rallying the west road off to the side of the dunes from Boxcar up to Myrtlewood, now there we do haul ass a bit.....Some great technical maneuvering, same up on the west side between Spinreel and Riley.

Man, have you seen what they've done at Boxcar?
What a hell of a project that was......is it privately owned?

Yes it's privately owned, UTV Takeover is held there.
Definitely a dust bowl.

Bring 2 of the founding members Save The Riders Dunes (STRD) we're a little more aware of the issues.
Resigned from the board when we retired and went on the road.
They have talked about a speed limit at one time.

Thankfully they have continued to push to keep the dunes open and they also have opened up, .that had been closed and in the trees.

Still looking foward to hear more about your set up, especially running the Oregon dunes.

Like to know how it does at slow speeds, dead stops where you have to ease up a hill etc.
