Just got back from Colorado where everything worked fine. Pulled the vehicle off the trailer wouldnt start, used car to start it, removed jumpers from car, removed neg from UTV battery, as soon as I remove the pos clip from battery the engine dies. Tried it again, same thing. Put battery on charger, green light no issues. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum.

Obviously electrical. Loose connection somewhere? Start on your + connector... kinda weird it died when you unplugged that one. It should have died on ground disconnect.

Battery is only needed to start the engine. If it dies after unplugging battery, look around stator.

BTW you didn't say what was your ride. Could be helpful if someone has had the same.

Welcome to the forum. No idea how many miles you have or what car, but might be a ground fault somewhere.

Have you done a load test on the battery?

Welcome from Tucson AZ. What car? Were you having any electrical issues in Colorado? Possible stator or some type of ground issues.
