I was told you need to drop the skid plate to remove the CVT cover to change the belt. I have looked for info but no luck.

Do you have to remove skid plate?

Any video's or pics on changing a belt with a list of tools to make things easier?

No need to drop skid plate. You can access the lower bolts from the acess holes in the skid. A few tools such as a Skew driver and flexible 1/4 drive extension make it even easier.

you don't have to but it you can it does make the job much easier and faster in the long run. I can drop my skid plate (in the garage ) in about 1 minute with cordless driver and socket bit....then you have full access to the lower 5 or 6 cover screws and can get them off much easier......

So if you are wanting to do this in your garage, I would drop the skid....if you blow a belt in the field, I would still drop it unless you can't get easy access to it or it is covered in mud....
