You can then glue some vinyl fabric on that to make it look finished.

Actually just the vinyl on the inside of the door skins will do WONDERS to deaden the sound.

Works good, gets rid of that tinny can sound.Might finish them but for now probably just leave them.That's a Cold Steel shovel.It's only about 20 inches long and the spade comes with the sides fairly sharp for chopping branches if you have to.

Mines got a block of 3" black Armacell foam on the inside to protect my knee and doubles as deadner, and I can pressure wash it

I wonder if that plastidip or whatever its called would work? Put on a bunch of coats or whatever

Here's what I did with my doors: Found an exercise mat (it's about 1/4" thick) from the local sporting goods store and used some spray glue to attach it. It works great as sound proofing and padding on the door.

I saw this in person over the weekend, looks really clean and easy to keep clean.
