It is true that if you need it it won't work. I needed it this evening and it wouldn't work. Any one else have this happen to them?

Yes it engages the spool. This is under the plastic handle.

Wow I saw where warn had limited lifetime warranty on some of their winches, but I guess that doesn't help when you need it?

Lol. Is t that the truth. Parts ordered ill have it all fixed Monday.
