Went riding today and came back with a cut tire. The cut is about a quarter of an inch. How should I go about fixing this?Should I just get a patch or take it to the dealer or regular auto tire place.Thanks.

Yep, I've plugged a much bigger hole that.

you can plug that or patch it on the inside and it will be as good as new unless it is on the sidewall. I would replace it if it was on the sidewall…...

funny you said that, I had the same issue. if its on the flat parts of the tire ( not side wall). I simply rolled the maverick so that the slit is at the top and filled it with rubber cement and let it sit over night. put on 200 miles since and its still solid and no issues.

Took two of the thicker ones from the kit at Walmart. It came with 3 thick ones and 5 reg sizes along with the two tools and cement.Wish I knew how do do this a month ago and I could have saved pulling a wheel of my Charger and taking it to Walmart, thanks again all.
