I notice that lots of you guys install a coolant temp gauge even though there is one integrated in the gauge cluster. Why is this? Thanks!

makes people feel super racey ! lol and a closer watch on the actual #'s of the coolant the cluster just shows u a few bars but not actual temp # reading !

So you can actually tell what the temperature is. The one in the instrument cluster is not linear. It doesn't even show one bar until it hits 150 degrees. I think each bar after that is close to another 15 degrees or so. I can't really remember since I don't look at it anymore….

The one one the insturment cluster is about as useful as the idiot light on a car.

whats cool is your motor will go into limp mode b4 u over heat and do damage !
