I was going to order one. After seeing another guy's I decided not to. He has sport roof an closed the gap with peice of abs black plastic an weather stripping. He also said he's going to get a tusk fold down as he don't trust the velcro straps
It is a good windshield. There's nothing wrong with the Velcro straps and it makes folding it down and removal a breeze. I was just curious as to what anyone else may have done. I also have a sport roof and closed my gap with a 40"x6" piece of 10ga Aluminum sandwiched between the roof and roll bar.
Every windshield I see has a gap to. Except can am ones. I haven't made my mind up on which one to get. I also have the sport roof, thought about superatv flip up.
How well does the clearly tough flip down hold up for you? How is the gap around the cage besides the roof gap? Does it stay in place while down. I ride wisconsin trails so I would have it up in morning an down afternoon.
It fits well, no gap, it fits and seals on the flat lip of the cage, I don't see why it wouldn't stay down the Velcro straps work well, but I haven't had it long enough to honestly answer.
I don't understand the concern about the velcro straps, they are replaceable and cheap. I would be much more concerned with how well the windshield itself will hold up to scratching, hopefully the newer tech will prevent scratches better but after the poly I had on my previous SXS I decided to go with glass.
