With a stock 2021 X3 RS RR which has 30 inch tires and 14” wheels, if I change the tires to 32 inches on the OEM wheels do I have a favorable or unfavorable change and scrub angle? Do you think it would be noticeable in handling or steering characteristics?

If I change the wheels to 15” method 401, 5+2 offset, Or 5+0 offset with tensor 32 DS tires, is there a penalty with scrub angle, or any other disadvantages?

Props for knowing that can be an issue.

Have you read the ST article Justin wrote? It's one of the best explanations of the relationship of tire height, wheel Offset and scrub I have come across. Tim

Thanks for the link Tim! Great article indeed! So it seems that increasing my tire to 32 inches inseam OEM wheel will decrease the scrub radius slightly. Which should result in a slightly better set up.

Do you think that increasing tire size to 32 or even 33”, while maintaining a good scrub radius, will affect lateral stability noticeably, due to the 1” to 1.5” vertical increase in CG?

I think you're fine to 33 inch in my opinion.

Dirt is pretty forgiving in regards to scrub.

As far as lateral stability I doubt you notice much up to 33.
