can-am 39” Light Bar Wiring?

Hey Guys - just placing my can-am light bar and the wiring Instructions are a bit unclear. (Attached)

Not clear where to place the 3rd wire - it’s Dark Pink not black as stated (done BLK to BLK & Red to Red).

…and what is the White Terminal?

(Sport Roof & Overhead roof switch panel already fitted.)

Cheers.

Welcome!

Might want to take a minute and introduce yourself and car in the "Members Introduction" section.
Thank you - will do!

based on the way the harness is built I would "Guess" it goes on the middle post. My guess is that is the accessory post that only turns on when the car is running..
I tried that - light not working (with power on) both engine off and running?

This particular Instruction section (OP) make no sense. (Well at least not to me!)

Help please…

Can you take a better picture showing the wires that are hooked up to these posts (not the new ones), the cover is blocking them

Appreciate your help - thanks.

I wasn’t sure whether I should install the relay as I believe one was already installed when the harness to the Roof Switch panel was installed. (By the Dealer). But tried that now - no difference.

Should I put the relay back in this harness? (Switch panel to roof light.)

As I have done everything else except connect the Dark Pink cable - that must be the missing link. But where to place it?
Thank you. That’s one question answered.

When the Roof Switch Panel was installed the wiring harness connected the vehicle to the panel. It is the same harness (it seems) that I now have to connect the Panel to the Light Bar. Most of the ‘new’ harness is obsolete and tucked up in the Roof Panel. That’s why I wasn’t sure if I should install the new relay provided with the Light and there is no mention of this in the Instructions!
Relay now reinstalled - will fix to panel. As you can see 90% of the harness is obsolete as Roof switch panel already connected to vehicle.

If the car has been prewired then you should be able to just plug the light harness to the light and use the switch panel to turn it on.. Or am I confused?
That’s what I thought also!

Problem is - the last cable I don’t know where to place. Don’t want to guess and do damage to this expensive Light Bar!

Just to clarify - harness from vehicle to Roof switch panel was installed by Dealer. The Light bar requires a further harness (see last pic) to connect Panel to Light - which I am attempting to install. The BRP instructions were not so helpful!
Thanks.
But where should I place this:

So you have a switch installed on the dash specifically for the "light bar"
Yes - when I re-fix the roof switch panel.

Just put the small red wire on the big red wire and see if the light comes on. It should trigger it and turn the relay on.
Many thanks - trying that now 🤞😊

👍🏼😎
Take a pic of the back of the switch so we can wire it in properly.
That’s the easy part - switch is mated to connector. Both BRP parts.
TBH - I don’t know! Panel back up and fixed now. I’m a “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” guy!

While it works I’m happy! 😂
