Hey Guys - just placing my can-am light bar and the wiring Instructions are a bit unclear. (Attached)

Not clear where to place the 3rd wire - it’s Dark Pink not black as stated (done BLK to BLK & Red to Red).

…and what is the White Terminal?

(Sport Roof & Overhead roof switch panel already fitted.)

Cheers.

Welcome!

Might want to take a minute and introduce yourself and car in the "Members Introduction" section.

based on the way the harness is built I would "Guess" it goes on the middle post. My guess is that is the accessory post that only turns on when the car is running..

You have a multi meter or test light?

I tried that - light not working (with power on) both engine off and running?

This particular Instruction section (OP) make no sense. (Well at least not to me!)

Help please…

Can you take a better picture showing the wires that are hooked up to these posts (not the new ones), the cover is blocking them

what if you power the small red/pink wire with 12v? I "think" this might be the trigger for the relay. It also looks like the relay is NOT installed in the relay socket on the wire harness? is that true?
Appreciate your help - thanks.

I wasn’t sure whether I should install the relay as I believe one was already installed when the harness to the Roof Switch panel was installed. (By the Dealer). But tried that now - no difference.

Should I put the relay back in this harness? (Switch panel to roof light.)

As I have done everything else except connect the Dark Pink cable - that must be the missing link. But where to place it?
Yes relay should be installed s it wont work without one.

I am not sure what you mean about "I believe one was already installed when the harness to the Roof Switch panel was installed. (By the Dealer) "
Thank you. That’s one question answered.

When the Roof Switch Panel was installed the wiring harness connected the vehicle to the panel. It is the same harness (it seems) that I now have to connect the Panel to the Light Bar. Most of the ‘new’ harness is obsolete and tucked up in the Roof Panel. That’s why I wasn’t sure if I should install the new relay provided with the Light and there is no mention of this in the Instructions!
Relay now reinstalled - will fix to panel. As you can see 90% of the harness is obsolete as Roof switch panel already connected to vehicle.

If the car has been prewired then you should be able to just plug the light harness to the light and use the switch panel to turn it on.. Or am I confused?

That’s what I thought also!

Problem is - the last cable I don’t know where to place. Don’t want to guess and do damage to this expensive Light Bar!

Well in order for a relay to work you need, 12v power, 12v ground and usually 12v to "trigger" the relay. Some times the relay can be wired so the GROUND triggers it.. but being a red wire, I would assume it 12v trigger.
so trying to understand this a bit better.. so the car was prewired for the roof light? and you bought the roof light and it also come with a harness?

what harness are the wires from in the pic?
Just to clarify - harness from vehicle to Roof switch panel was installed by Dealer. The Light bar requires a further harness (see last pic) to connect Panel to Light - which I am attempting to install. The BRP instructions were not so helpful!
