Cage height question

I Found a good deal on a cage that I plan on picking up this week.
I had a question for any of you with aftermarket cages along with aftermarket seats. The height measured from the top of the B pillar roofline to the B pillar plate is 9.25”. I’m running Simpson seats mounted to the lower bracket and am 5’10” plus my helmet. Should that be enough room between my head and the roof line?
I plan on adding onto the cage to make it pass racing tech for next year so I’m trying to make sure I’m good on this.
Any feedback is appreciated

Rule of thumb usually is this: sitting in the seat, with your helmet on, make a fist, and put it on top of your helmet. 4 fingers high, and you’re not touching the roof, you’re good. 4 fingers high, and you’re touching the roof, risky, but acceptable. Can’t do 4 fingers high, don’t use that cage. In the case of a rollover, your changes of breaking your neck, and being paralyzed is greatly affected.

I’d seen that and with my stock cage I have plenty of room even with the Simpson seats. My only concerns is this cage is about 1.5-1.75” shorter and it’s not on a car so I won’t be able to check when I pick it up.
From my guesstimated math I should be good, I was hoping for reassurance if someone had about the same set up being my height.

My Extreme Performance cage is 11" top of cage to plate.
Simpson Seats on their mount on the lowest setting and no spacer, I have 6" from roof to my head without a helmet.
I'm 6' 0" and 32" inseam.

thanks for the feedback guys, based off the info I received I could most likely fit fine, however I don’t think I’ll be happy with visibility out the front based off the pics of it compared to the factory cage and other aftermarket ones as well. I’m feeling it’s best not to rush a decision on a cage

Just FYI - My cage has a similar profile to the one in your first pic. No issues with visibility when running fast in the desert but when Im at Glamis I cant see sh!t. If you are at the bottom of a dune you cant look up and see where you are going.

Thank you for that! That was actually my main concern, I don’t dune much but coming down washes or hills, especially in technical areas I’d like to see the uphill side.
You made me feel better about not pulling the trigger lol
