BRP Rear Number Plate Holder reassignment!

We run rear number plates here for Road legal use. I was horrified when I picked up my Sport to discover the BRP rear plate holder is designed to go on the outside of the rear Trail Bumper…NO!!

Is it just me or does this look truly horrible? Couldn’t live with it either way so after a bit of re-engineering of the back plate this was the result:

What’s the point of a rear guard if it’s not the first point of contact! BRP?

“What do you mean you can’t read the plate Officer?” :giggle:

That’s where the North American plates get mounted, get smaller plates?

I bet they can’t get smaller plates. In NC we have to run full size plates, but don’t get taxed like a motorcycle would. DMV rules, but I’m saving a ton of money that way. It’s so lame running a monster plate on a SXS. Looks like a billboard back there and really out of place.
…get smaller plates?
Sadly no such luxury here!

You think that’s bad try putting a standard Croatian plate on the front of a Sports car!

Absolutely right on both counts! At least I managed to hide it - with a bit of effort!
Looks better, but wouldn't pass muster here in the states. Yes, they can read it IF they walk up and stand right behind the car looking downward, but not if they are following. Couldn't you raise it up so that it is even with the opening in the bumper?

Not sure it will here either! Hahaha - time will tell.
