Hey folks broke my first cv right front, appears to be a somewhat common thing but question can I get the stub out without pulling the diff out? Just looking at if there is a faster way

So pull both cv and try to push it back through the other side? As it’s just the small tip inside the diff

Not sure about older models but if it's an X3 that won't work. There is not a hole all the way through the Smart Lock to be able to do that. The 2 axles are partitioned off from each other.

It should not be too hard to remove. Slide hammer is best. Pry bar would work too if you are carefull and use common sense.

You should be able to remove the good axle and hammer out the tip from that side with a punch.
