I have a 2019 Mav RC 1000r motor and I swapped out the battey.Problem is, I crossed the neg/positive terminals and fried the battery. Now the gauge shows low voltage and it won't start after a 30 minute ride or so. 12 volts is the highest I has shown when I put the original battery back in. Did I fry the voltage reg. too along with my lithium battery? If so, is it a tough job for the average bonehead? Thanks.

you will need a service manual, it has the testing procedures to test the rectifier/reg and stator

Thanks for the reply. Is there a fuse behind the seat that might have blown?

The problem was the voltage regulator. Cost me 150 so I kind kind of lucky, could have been worse. Was an easy replacement with a multi-meter. Now volts stay at about 13.9/14.😄

I hate that sinking WTF, you dumb shit, feeling when I do something like this! Glad it was a reasonable fix.
