I asked Andy from powertune if I can use octane boosters, his advice was to never use it. It was a year ago, but I’m pretty sure he said these rotex engines don’t like it or it’s bad for them or some like that. So I never tried. I’m running his E85 tune right now, but I have to drive 80 miles for E85. its that or 91 here, that sucks!
Thats a cover your ass remark as some of the cheap so called octane boosters are a total scam and raise your octane almost zero. Many race fuels use MMT in their mixes to produce the desired octane levels. You do have to pay attention as you mix your fuel. Add the booster AFTER you fuel your car or pre mix 5 gallon cans. You can get way out of wack just pouring this stuff.

I messed around on one trip using the vp madditive mixed it in 5 gallon cans before fueling to keep my mix correct. Didn’t have good luck tune kept pulling timing didn’t like it. Went too e85
