Stereo threads always remind me of liberals. When liberals hate something, they bash the hell out of it and want it completely erased from the earth. When normal people dont like something, they just ignore it. Every audio thread seems to get trashed immediately. Not everyone is a music blasting dickhead. I love some good country tunes when im cruising in the woods. I dont blast it loud enough for the whole group to hear. Anyways….sidexside audio in WV has been great for me. Got 2 systems from them and have been very happy.

Noise is a major complaint of liberals wanting trails shut down.

When the CBD was telling us they were going to get Glamis shut down and people laughed at thier Piersons Milkavitch plant theory.

Well they used plants being ran over as the basis and won!

Maybe had we all said hey don't give them fodder and don't run over the weeds they may not have won.


If I want to post up about the best way to "blaze new trails " are you going to say " it's not my business?"
Or will you say hey don't do that it gives the greenies fodder for trail closures.

We need to and SHOULD police ourselves or we won't have public riding areas.

I just visited an old home stead in Williams AZ a few weeks ago. Had to listen the ridiculously loud rap music from and I bet you " I only play my music respectfully and out away from others guy".


Of course he tells everyone he only plays it when away from everyone on the trail.

If people want to discuss (or OWN) stereos, let them. It doesn't mean you need to preemptively decide they're bad people who will get trails closed.

You don't know me & I don't know you, But I do have respect for people, and our riding area's. I do turn down my music when I roll by peoples camp or when they're on a group ride break, because I don't always like the choice of music others have cranked up when they pass by me. When did i say to mind your own business? Coming on a forum and bashing audio and having un constructive input on a post that someone made is allot different than telling a dickhead to turn their speakers down in person. You cant hear how loud our music is through a forum. Props to you for speaking up though. Those few idiots ruin it for the rest of us. Luckily i havent had to deal with those people on the east coast trails we ride yet. Ive seen people get ripped out of their machines for stepping out of line and being idiots for other reasons. I understand what noise is! It's the shit that comes out of the hole in your face. We face closures in our riding area all the time for noise issues. We get sound check points a couple times a year. Not once have they asked to check our stereo levels. The complaints are always exhaust.

I bet the FTW I need a stereo guys contribute very little if anything to organizations fighting to keep land open.

You think you're responsible and respectful with the music? Then you would use headsets.

The tide is turning against us because so many people think they can do what they want and the day won't come when the trais are closed or you're a " band wagon " sxs owner who won't care.


More and more the loud music and the typical disrespect that giues with the people who do it are causing people to see us as the bad guys.

I get it back east, you mainly have Private property to ride, and not Public land.

If you want to play your music loud back east go for it.

But please when you come to the Western 13 states, keep your music to yourself.

As Tim had mentioned earlier CBD along with wildlife federation, Sierra club and other groups,are all looking for ways to SHUT DOWN Off- Roading and racing.

The CBD has a lawsuit going on now sueing the Forest Service with allowing UTV Takeover to have their event on the Oregon dunes.

So yes, us on the West Coast are not happy with loud music, especially in the towns, or anywhere near the pubic.

Also we don't have mud 😀

The lawsuit is Over the Pacific Marten, not noise. Noise is the reason it takeover get shut down @ 10:30 instead of midnight like the rest of the year curfew on the dunes. I live less that 5 miles from the dunes, I can hear the exhaust of people having fun out there everyday and night of the week. I love it! Not once have I been able to hear a Stereo. During takeover all sorts of people show up and play their kind of music cranked to max, at the event they have stereo wars. Once they get about 3-400 yards away you cant hear it anymore. Not trying to argue with anyone, but who said I was going to blast my music? I didn't ask for the loudest, I asked best sounding. We have lots of mud here
