Check out the latest product from Bent Metal Off-Road. Everybody hates the doors on the X3’s that close by themselves. These solve that problem! The door assist kit uses a couple nice bracket and a hydraulic ram to assist the door. Helps stop breaking of the factory door straps while also holding the doors open for convenience when getting in/out of the vehicle and while working on it. Install takes about 10 minutes and requires a 13mm socket and wrench and a 5/32 Allen wrench. They also have two holes in the rear bracket that allows you to increase or decrease the rams pressure on the door
depending on how much assist you want/need.

My experience with Bent Metal is challenged but I hope my experience turns out good? I have spent 4 plus hours across a month to get the broken glass in a new windshield repaired. The packing that they ship it out in was poor and it arrived broken. The foam that they put on the sharp 1/4 “ windshield edge was soft and only 1” thick. It compressed during shipping to 3/8th“. No wonder it broke. They told me “only 10 percent arrive broken”. When you are in the 10 percent ...it is a problem. I am hoping they make it right. They did pay for the repair but it has been too frustrating and time consuming. I hope they make it right as the experience has been poor! I am waiting for them to respond?
