Baby on board

I just bought a 2019 XRS Max. I've got a 9 month old and I just wanted to see if anyone has strapped baby seats into the back seats of these things successfully? Or would him being attached to mama in a baby carrier by safer?

Obviously this would not be for any serious riding or riding with others around. I have basically flat desert/dirt trails leading right out of my back yard (surrounded by public and state trust land) so it will be fun to just putt around on the weekends and get some fresh air.

Id be worried about the bobble head effect ,I think if your going slow and not bouncing around having mom there to support his head would be best, or wait till he’s walking and more developed before putting him in a seat, but as said above these puppys are hard on the hearing so in front on a 4 seater would be best

It's up to you and Mama's choice..
Nobody can make that decision for you..

Nobody knows how you drive..and can't make that decision for you..

No matter what others say it's yours and Mama's choice.

We use the car seat in the rear seat. I use two ratchet straps too hold it down. One goes through where the seat belt would go and one goes through the bottom of the seat. On top of that we use foam neck support that really helps her out. She is 2 now and has been riding since about 18 months by herself. Initially she would ride with Mom in one of those front baby carriers and the harnesses would go over both of them together and mom was able to help support her head.

Everyone is going to have their own opinion and how old they should be, but its up too you. Just be extra careful and you all can still go have fun.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I know my wife has already bought a neck pillow and baby earmuffs. I think if I saw any "head bobbing" then I wouldn't be comfortable taking him, so we will see how it goes. I will try strapping the car seat to the back seat with my wife sitting right next to him.

She found a lightweight helmet that is designed for babies and technically to be legal here in AZ everyone under 18 needs a helmet. However I am a bit weary on having him use it. I've heard anything on the head isn't good and the extra weight does more harm than good.
