A lot of people are reporting a rattle around 4500-5000 rpm. Most people think it is the double walled head pipe from the front cylinder resonating at that rpm….I heat wrapped mine and don't really hear it on mine….
I guess you could call it that…..does it go away if you rev it up or left off the throttle? If so, it is what everyone is hearing…..nothing to worry about but it is annoying. Fortunately, I never ride with the RPM's that low :shocked:
That noise is the front drive shaft rattling. Take the skid plate off and manually move the shaft forward and back and you will hear the exact noise. You will also notice that it goes away when in four wheel and there is a load applied on the front diff. To me there is an excessive amount of play in that shaft and I imagine it is amplified on my max vs the 2 seat models.
