Any failures with the updated clutch bolt?

Have read about all the failures with the original bolt and washers. But have there been any bolt failures with the updated bolt & slippery washer kit?
Short on time so am considering lapping & using loctite on the outer taper for now.

Side note - be sure to check the CVT inlet filter, mine had sand, leaves, grass after 2 hours.

Someone posted on here that yes, there has been a failure with the updated setup. I would recommend against lapping and Loctiting. If you do, be sure and get a new bolt!
Yes someone on here did post that afterr the recall and update they sheared the new bolt on the first ride out
I didn't shear the bolt, it backed out and tore a bunch of stuff up. All those washers and that bolt bouncing around in the case caused some havoc.
That must have been u I was thinking of. My bad. Thought u sheared it.

Why not lap & loctite? (Outer taper not the bolt).
NO sheared bolts with recall, only 1 bolt backed out !
WVXRS said his sheared after 27 miles. Just had the recall done by the dealer.
mine goes on to the dealer friday morning for the recall bolt. I will be there along side the tech and will take measurements and pictures. I will not be able to beat on it for a couple of weeks to see if it holds up, but when i get to Glamis march 21st i will beat on it in the dunes and see what happens.

I tried it and it didn't work. I think that when the outer primary half starts to slip, it heats up the Loctite and it then becomes a lubricant.

Are you guys having the recall bolt installed even if your VIN does not come up on the recall?
Mine didn't have a recall, but I just couldn't wait to see "IF", so I'm upgarding the primary to a CVTech from Airdam.

Good point, had not thought about the loctite failing then acting as a lube.
A friend of mine had his bolt break at GlamisFans last weekend. His was done by the dealer right after he bought it. Had to get towed back by a XP. Sill waiting for parts to fix his car and they were having problems getting what was left of the bolt out.
Whats the cost for the CVTech from Airdam?
about $900
Mine sheared the bolt first ride out. Mine was supposed to be updated.
