Sorry couldn't find anything on this in the search, but wanted to know if there is any 5 lug conversion kits for the X3, just seems like at 200hp the 4 lug wheel bolts is a little light weight, and wanting to upgrade to 15-17" rims eventually as well since I do both street and trail riding. Haven't seen anything I don't want spacers I have a 22 XRS with smart shox 72" wide already which gives me about 2" side to side of clearance on the trailer any wider may not make it on the trailer.

Any recommendations or direction would be great. thanks.

My Wheels are rated 1600 lbs each so I wouldn't say they are light weight. You start putting truck wheels and tires, the weight will get up there and really affect performance and handling.

not the wheel rating I'm worried about I just prefer 5 lugs holding my wheels on the vehicle, there is a reason cars no longer come with 4 lugs like in the early 1980's, just looks like that hasn't made it over to SxS yet? It would also open up the wheel options if could convert from 4 lug to 5 lug pattern. I'm looking to go to a 33-34" tire max from my 32s and something like BFG KO2 or BFG KM3 or some pro-armor tires 33" with 15"-17" wheel

I would guess that one of the main reasons that SxS' haven't migrated to 5 lug is weight. SxS's are significantly lighter than cars. Also, you can easily use 33-35" in tires with 15" wheels all day long with the X3's. I'm pretty sure race teams still use the 4 lug and 33-35's for their applications, which should be more than enough for the average user.

Just saying that there's a reason this isn't a thing because it's never really been a problem.

There are lots of issues with the X3 to upgrade or modify but no one really has an issue with the 4 lugs.

I’ve seen lots of Mustangs, Camaros, Vettes, Etc. all with 5 lug wheels pushing 1000 HP. I can’t imagine why 4 lugs with anything under 500 HP would be an issue. In all actuality it’s not the HP you even need to look at, it’s the Torque and long before you start sheering wheel studs because of insanely high Torque you’ll have found at least 5 other weak links.

I haven't had any issues with the 4 lugs. If I can't break them, you should be good. Note: I run 39 inch tires and weigh 4K+ when loaded up with just 1 passenger full fuel, and tools, ect. I did rip my aftermarket arm off and snapped an upper Keller ball joint at same time with no damage to wheel studs.

No need for 5 lug. This is just creating a problem from thin air.

found a 15x7 wheel 5+2 that is 13.55lbs falcon ridge, and looking at either pro Armor crawlerXR 33x10x15 per website on all these weights = 39lbs so that would be roughly 53lbs or the other option is same wheel with tusk terrabite 34x10x15 at 43.5lbs so that is 57lbs. I originally wanted to get some BFG TA KO2's 33x10.5x15 but that is 53lbs so would be at 67lbs. I'm worried about rubbing with a 34 or 35, but I hate that many 33's are actually 32's or 32.5".

Does anyone know if pro armor crawler XG 35x10.5x15 would rub on stock 22 XRS 72" with smart shox?
That setup would be 13.55lbs wheel and 45lbs tire = 59lbs total with a 35" tire which seems awesome.

big question before i order tires is finding out if 34" or 35" will rub on the 15x7 rim 5+2 that will make the decision but even though really want the BFGs either all terrain KO2 or BFG KM3's I can get larger tire for less weight on the other options above.

I ride mostly trails and street (pavement) got to Uwharrie national forest allot, rocky and packed dirt some mud but not much as I'm not much of a mud cleaning up person, LOL.

I don’t think it will rub but that is a heavy tire. They last a long time though

I do like the looks of the Roxxzilla's but with the amount of pavement driving I do worried they will not hold up.

are they on the stock clutch and drive line meaning A-Arms and axles I'm running stock and don't really plan to change that anytime soon.

I think I have talked myself out of anything above a 33" (max 34) after watching youtube people talking about wearing out things sooner with 35's. I don't want to upgrade at this time beyond the gusset kit, shock tower brace I already got.
As when discussing with the dealer upgrading those things (axles, arms) moves the weak point up the line, and I would rather buy a new A-arm or axle than new Frame, transmission, or diff.

I also realized that the wheels I got are not bead locks so this maybe my primarily street only setup and run the stock Carnivore 32" on 14" rims till they wear out completely off road, then get some 15" bead locks for off road, as I want to upgrade the brake discs as shock therapy discussed in one of their vids for helping with stopping power on bigger wheels and tire packages, but can't increase the disk size with stock 14" rims.

so back to thinking BFG KM3's 32" that is 44.3lbs so total weight would be 57.6lbs i did see a video where someone measure the stock 14" can am wheel and 32" carnivores and it was 55lbs (54.6 they were worn out so rounded up). so that would only be a 2lbs difference per corner. But love my BFG TA K02's but 33x10.5x15 is 51.2lbs per BFG site so what would be total 64.5lbs per corner so about a 9-10lb gain so 40lbs over all. Could go shorter for street setup and run BFG KO2's 31x10.5x15 they are 44.6lbs but that's shorter than the KM3's so want to stay close or go bigger not smaller. My speedometer is already off 3 mph per GPS and speed radar signs with the stock 32" carnivore tires.

Will see when wheels get here how I like them will mount them up in one corner bare to check fitment and verify offset is good then decide on tire setup.

Not sure how important bead locks are for trails I been on so far Uwharrie, I only used 4wd one time on one spot of one trail going back to try and hit the remaining 3-4 trails I missed then see about the difficult one #390 Daniel.

I vote that you ride more trails and decide if you really need tires that big. You only even needed 4wd once, you probably aren't exceeding the capabilities of the stock tires yet.
