yes use a hammer to separate the first time
then use the governor cup to make the pattern for the e-drive puller to work on the p-drive
I call the old style X3 clutch a E-drive, some dont have a name for it
so they call it a QRS primary LOL... the name e-drive came from skidoo in 2010
with the puller you can work on the clutch with half the clutch still on the car
pulling it on and of the crank is where there is usually the biggest problems https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/...1ONCBLY2WP5/p-Drive-Tool-Kit.jpg?format=1000w
look at the governor puller it is drilled for both clutches
you can DIY, drill the new pdrive pattern in the old tool
that big tool in the middle is a joke...way too big and goofy to use
the goodwin pdrive tool is so simple and easy to carry and use
its works similar to a qrs secondary opener tool
and then you add a simple clamp to hold the clutch open
so you can release the lever
last the kwi axle puller is huge and clumsy
where the goodwin is very small and use a ratchet to pull the axels

the pdrive governor rollers (thrust rollers) need to be greased at least every year
most do not know this, because the pdrive is new to can am...but skidoo has them since 17
brp wont tell you because they are not covered under waranty

This is great info. Thank you for taking the time to do a write up giving a little more insight on the P-Drive. Now I will have to hit Youtube and see if there is some good information on the complete servicing of this clutch

Curious how the new clutch kit and tool offerings from EVP compare to the KWI in dealing with this issue.
All I know is that the PDRIVE set up from KWI is Awesome. I have Float MOD and big roller also added. Its way smoother than the stock 2021 clutch. I also modified clutch tool that works great to hold the primary and secondary.

How or where are you supposed to grease the rollers?

Thanks may have to check that tool out. I have changed weights. Was interested in the greasing for sure.
