I have no tail lights and no brake lights but when I turn on the hazard lights, it works. I did find a fuse that was bad on the dash fuses. I replaced it but the lights are still not working. Any idea what it could be? Maybe another fuse from the box under the rear seats? A relay? Where and which relay/fuse? Any suggestion/input is greatly appreciated!

I would start by checking for power (12v) on one side of the brake pedal switch. If you don’t have power there check fuses again or see if you have a broken wire in that area. Which fuse did you replace that was blown? Which circuits did it cover?

Thanks to everyone for the Welcomes! Well, it has turn out to be a bigger headache than I thought! I took out the back seat to find a mess of wires. Apparently the metal bracket from the seat must of touched the positive on the battery and there is a short or something. A ground wire, the plastic around it was completely melted and melted other wires as well. I just ordered the factory rear wiring harness. Having to start all fresh and clean. Once I re-do that, I hope it will solve my problem. Unfortunately, it's hard to say who caused this problem. When I bought this X3, the dealership had already installed some accessories and then i took it to another shop that did more accessories, though they said they cleaned up some of the wiring mess that the dealership did. But none put a cap over the positive battery terminal.
I will say, it's hard to find quality work! I feel like you have to watch everything they are doing. I'm glad there is not much more that I can do to my machine! And I can do it myself.

I did not know the newer units had hazards. I added the XTC turn signal kit on mine and that has hazards.

I assume just hazards and no turn signals?

The button is an XTC with the horn. The dealership must of installed it as I wanted a street legal kit and for that, you need a horn. If it was there originally, that I don't know.

Well, I didn't ask for it and it was there when I bought my machine. I did add the turn signals too. It's on a switch on the left of the steering wheel and it's self canceling.So i don't have to worry about turning it off.

I would start with that unit to see If that has something yo do with your lack of brake lights.
