I’m trying to get some information about a 2018 maverick Trail 1000 gearbox. My cousin just bought this 2018 maverick Trail 1000 non power steering and non lockable rear differential. The unit has 450miles on it and has some big gearbox problems. So my cousin picked this maverick up and first ride he said there was a horrible noise coming from the rear of the Machine .So I picked it up and found that the noise was coming from the gearbox/differential I drained the fluid and chunks of metal were coming out with The fluid so a pulled The gearbox and split the case I found the gear that the dogs were shared off .My question is can I buy just the gear that’s damaged or do I have to buy the whole main shaft ?Im looking at a brp Oem parts diagram and they don’t list this separate gear but it’s clumped in the main shaft assembly of course it’s A lot of money part # 420637774.There is a number stamped in the damaged gear (6435915).Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Welcome from Tucson AZ. Not sure why the gear would let go with only 450 miles? You'll probably have to buy the complete assembly. Go to Rocky Mountain ATV. They have the cheapest OEM prices.
