Hello,

I have a 2014 Mav XRS-DPS.
I will be installing Turner Eagle 2 Upgraded axles on all 4 corners.
I have read through the Turner install paper.
Not much to their instructions...
Also, I read through the Shop Manual for the Maverick.
The FRONT axle replacement is straight forward.

The REAR axle install calls for Loctite 243 to be applied to the axle and hub splines.
The Loctite 243 application seems strange and out of order to me.
The instructions don't call for grease in the hub where it mates to the axle splines.
Would anyone be able to give me advice and/or direction, as to whether the Loctite 243 application is needed/required?

Verbiage taken from the 2013-14 Maverick Shop Manual:

Drive Shaft Installation
The installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
However, pay attention to the following.
Apply LOCTITE 243 (BLUE) (P/N 293 800 060) on
drive shaft splines and hub splines. Make sure to
apply product all around the circumference
Install a NEW stop ring.

Hello Megadesertdiesel,

Appreciate the rely,

Should I just use the never seize on the splines that mate with the hub or never seize the splines that mate into the rear diff, as well?
