Does anyone know if doing my 10-hour service myself would have an adverse effect on my extended warranty? I'm more of a DIY kind of person, and would much rather handle it myself, but if it will jeapordize my warranty, I guess I'll bite the bullet and bring 'er in.

no it will not impact your warranty. Just keep your receipts so you can prove you purchased the new fluids/filter.

Cool. The dealer gave me the oil/filter for the first change and a registration free when I picked it up. I will have him email me that he did so and print it off for my records. I was more concerned with the checking/adjusting the valves should I run into motor warranty work.

I would just keep a log of what you did with the date. I would also record your valve settings pre and post so you can show that you did it.

Sounds like a job for the "notes" section in the back of the manual.
