Cage4Aged you can use your normal key to change the speed settings 1-5 or 1-3 on your learners key
Where can I find that option? Nothing in my manual about it.
BTW, I have to issue a few corrections and eat some crow regarding my previous post. I initially stated that I had a “Normal” and an “Eco” key. Turns out that the keys are actually referred to as “performance” or “normal” (I guess that there is also a “Learner/Work” key that limits speed to 27mph, but I have no other info on that). I also find it stupid that BRP calls a restricted key "Normal", but that's an argument for another time. 🤔
My green key is “normal” (torque and speed limited to 43mph) and my white key is “performance” (full torque and power). That matches the owner manual’s color/description, but keep in mind that color is not necessarily relevant since the ECU can be programmed to recognize any color key as either “normal” or “performance”. I also read somewhere that the colored inserts can be popped out of the key and switched; anyone try that? If true, with a 3d printer, you could have custom colored keys!👍
Then there are the “Drive Modes”; SPORT or ECO. Per the manual, ECO limits throttle response and maximum throttle opening, and either mode can be activated with all key types. Gonna double-check what shows up on the dash when using my green key vs white.
