If you don't run a 2nd fuel tank, you obviously must run the higher of the 2 octanes required for the 2 tunes. So if you are already paying for and running race gas/av gas or whatever you have...why would you drive around on a lower tune using up expensive gas? Better mileage?

If it's for better mileage, you're probably not at the dunes..if you aren't at the dunes and you need good mileage, why would you need to switch to the higher tune? So filling up with 91 or your lowest required would just make sense from the beginning.

I think the idea is cool but I'm failing to see how you can really use it to it's full potential without having a 2nd fuel tank to have both on board and ready.

Not all areas have the higher octane fuel. If you are going through mountain passes in Colorado and you have only one place to fill up before you turn around, then you would want the lower tune. Plus the gas mileage thing on top of it.

There is no need to touch the wastegate once set - the tune compensates for this.

Is there an option to switch between stage 1 and the E85 tune?
Does Stage 1 run OK on E85?

Just trying to decide which options to go with.

At this time, Vmap is only available on gasoline tunes. E85 is an Ethanol based fuel. Maybe in the future.

    EVO,
I was ready to purchase the V-map 3R tune listed above, but the sales person at EVO said you don't offer that option. Can you confirm the 3R (200hp sport- 91 octane--> 172hp eco- 91 octane) tune is available? If so, who should I ask for to order it?
I love the idea of this tune, as do others I ride with.

Others here seem to be interested also:

I've run it before and I'm going back to it from the E85 tune right now. I'm tired of the consumption of E and having to drive far to get drums of it since our gas stations only have E54.

We have done some work on this, but the project was not completed. We have a bone stock machine coming to us shortly and should be able to offer this within a month or so.
